CAC Specialty expands healthcare practice

Specialty insurance brokerage  CAC Specialty has expanded its healthcare division with a senior hire who joins from Brown & Brown (formerly Beecher Carlson).

Melissa Menard has been appointed as executive vice president of its newly formed healthcare division. She will be working alongside executive chairman Kevin Carnell to develop the practice.

Menard's responsibilities include driving business development, creating and executing sales strategies, and leveraging CAC Specialty's resources to build a specialised risk advisory division.

Menard has an extensive background in deploying cutting-edge sales strategies and managing all areas of insurance. Her most recent role was managing director of Brown & Brown's (formerly Beecher Carlson) national healthcare practice, and she has held various leadership positions in the industry, such as chief of staff for sales and account services at BlueCross BlueShield of Massachusetts.
