WTW lures specialties leader back from Marsh for key NA role

Global broker  WTW has rehired a former specialties leader who left the company for Marsh, as it looks to accelerate the execution of its North American strategy.

Christian Ryan rejoins WTW as industry specialties leader for Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB) North America.

Ryan worked at WTW from 2005 through 2014. He departed the company for Marsh in 2014, where he served as managing director and US leader for the hospitality, sports, and entertainment practice until 2020. At that time, he took the role of Dallas Office head and South Central Zone risk segment leader until 2022.

Mike Liss, North America leader of CRB, said: “Christian brings a wealth of industry experience and relationships back to WTW, and he will hit the ground with momentum as our industry divisions continue to deepen their industry specialization.”

Ryan added: “I am deeply excited to return to WTW. I am eager to work with Michael Chang and WTW’s North American team to deliver best-in-class solutions for our clients through our industry vertical divisions.”
