WTW brings 13-year vet back into ICT fold after stint at Generali
Global broker WTW has brought back a 13-year company veteran with whom it has worked on some big and complex projects to strengthen its insurance consulting and technology (ICT) business in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Alessandro Pesci (pictured) is set to return to WTW as EMEA reserving practice director within its ICT business.
Pesci most recently worked at Italian insurer Generali, where he served as head of actuarial reserving. He joined WTW in 2008, specialising in actuarial risk consulting and software. Prior to leaving the broker in February 2021, Pesci served as P&C/non-life ICT director at WTW in Italy, according to his LinkedIn.
He will now re-join WTW's ICT business to support and strengthen client relationships in EMEA. Based in WTW's Rome office, Pesci will work closely with local client coverage teams and EMEA sales and practice leaders. He will also lead WTW's technology and software propositions and solutions to help clients manage risk and capital, providing specific consultancy on IFRS17, reserving automation, inflation and M&A.
Alessandro Santoni, managing director, south west division of ICT at WTW, said: "We have already worked closely with Alessandro on big and complex projects, and he brings tremendous experience and industry knowledge to this role. We are delighted that he has returned to WTW and his global expertise will continue to provide strong value to our team, helping to deliver what our clients need now and in the future."
Pesci commented: "I am excited to return to WTW, having gained valuable experience in the insurance industry at a global level. I look forward to working with the hugely experienced and talented insurance reserving team and the wider WTW business, helping to deliver diversified and innovative solutions for our clients."
