Willis Towers Watson swoops on Marsh financial institutions trio for Canada expansion

Broker Willis Towers Watson has recruited three senior executives from Marsh & McLennan to lead its expansion into the Canadian financial institutions (FI) market.

The new hires, Susan Finbow, Alexandra Kindbom and Andrew Brown, will all be based in Toronto and report to Allison Barrett, global head of FINEX FI, and John Haas, head of Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) Canada.

Finbow, head of FI industry, Canada will oversee a growth strategy for the region and assist with developing creative risk solutions and alternative risk financing strategies for financial institutions across the FINEX and property and casualty (P&C) product lines. He joins from Marsh where she served as managing director and held various positions, including FI industry practice leader.

Kindbom, as Canada head of FINEX FI, will oversee all FINEX and P&C placements in Canada for financial institutions and provide strategic direction to clients across the region. She also joins from Marsh where she served as managing director and was a leading advisor on financial lines risk and insurance to companies and senior executives across Canada.

Finally, Brown, FINEX FI lead relationship manager, will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of large and complex clients as well as overseeing new business development and driving the sales process to develop new client relationships. Prior to this, he held senior vice president roles in financial lines, FI and professional services at Marsh.
