Tysers swoops on Ed Broking to expand treaty portfolio in Middle East
Lloyd’s broker Tysers has expanded its reinsurance expertise across MENA and wider markets with a senior hire from Ed Broking.
The company has hired Souvik Goswami (pictured) as a director in its Dubai office.
Goswami was most recently head of treaty reinsurance at Ed, a role he had held for the past four years, based in Dubai.
Goswami has nearly 20 years of insurance broking and underwriting experience. Prior to Ed, he served as head of non-life underwriting at Saudi Re for more than five years. He joined the company in 2013 as Asia treaty underwriter before progressing to the role in 2015.
In his new role, Goswami will help expand Tysers’ treaty portfolio and operations in the Middle East and Indian Sub-Continent, including Bangladesh.
