Tegron Specialty poaches London market talent as CUO
Tegron Specialty, the Beat Capital-backed D&O underwriting specialist, has hired a London market executive with over two decades of experience as its chief underwriting officer (CUO).
Ray Pallett has held a number of senior roles within underwriting and broking across both directors and officers (D&O) and financial institutions (FI). Most recently, he worked at The Hartford where he led and developed the FI portfolio as head of financial institutions. Prior to that, Pallett worked for Lockton Financial Risks division as SVP, working with international clients in the public and private sectors.
Earlier in his career, Pallett has worked for Navigators, AIG and Zurich Insurance, specialising in D&O insurance and large public and private international company placements.
In his new role, Pallett will report to Tegron chief executive Paul Shore, and will assume his role with immediate effect subject to regulatory approval.
Shore said: "I am extremely pleased to welcome Ray to our expanding team. With his impressive reputation in the D&O and FI market and having worked extensively with him in the past, I know Ray is perfectly positioned to lead Tegron’s underwriting team and play a key role in building our D&O capability. Ray will be a great asset to Tegron and his appointment is indicative of the calibre of talent we are attracting.”
Pallett commented: “I’m excited to join Tegron at the start of their journey to become a leading insurer within financial lines. I’m looking forward to working with Paul again at a time that provides unique challenges for brokers and their clients. We will be working with our broker partners, assisting them throughout this period and providing leading service whilst sustainably growing the portfolio.”
