Sompo taps ex-SiriusPoint leader to expand market position across Europe

Specialty re/insurer  Sompo International has tapped a former SiriusPoint International CEO as an independent non-executive director at its European arm, as the company looks to further strengthen and expand its market position across Europe.

Monica Cramér Manhem (pictured) has been appointed to Sompo International’s subsidiary board of directors for SI Insurance (Europe), SA (SIIE).

Manhem recently retired from SiriusPoint International, the largest reinsurance company in Scandinavia, where she served as CEO. With nearly 40 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. She joined Sirius International in 1985 and was a director of the board between 2014-2022. She brings broad expertise across underwriting, communications, analytics, strategic and regulatory topics.
