SCOR unveils swathe of senior promotions at Global Life unit
French reinsurer SCOR's international life and health subsidiary SCOR Global Life has made a series of promotions across its global markets, finance, and research and development (R&D) units. Within the global markets team, Miguel Alferieff has been promoted to executive head of client relationships, global markets. He will be in charge of developing the SCOR Global Life client strategy and managing key clients across the world. Meanwhile, Roy Chappell has been elevated to executive head of proposition, global markets. Additionally, Michael Colannino will be responsible for developing new business in the US market as the EVP of US markets, growth and development, while Brock Robbins will be in charge of large US in-force book. SCOR also announced the promotions of Tammy Kapeller to EVP of US process optimisation; Pilar Santamaria to head of Western Europe & Latin America, responsible for France, Benelux, Iberia, Italy, North Africa and Latin America; Damien Bartlett to head of UK, Ireland & South Africa; and Michael Breuer to head of Central Europe and Nordics, including Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Eastern Europe, Netherlands, Nordics, Middle-East, and Israel. Don Rho will be responsible for South Korea and Japan as the new head of North Asia, while Tony Ho will be responsible for South East Asia, India, Taiwan, and Hong-Kong as head of South Asia. Ho will retain his responsibility as managing director of the financial solutions product line across Asia Pacific. Within the finance and R&D units, SCOR has promoted Colm Guiry to chief financial officer. In the life division, Guiry will report to Paolo De Martin, CEO of SCOR Global Life and Redmond Murphy, head of business performance. He will also report to Mark Kociancic, CFO of SCOR Group. Stephen Devine is promoted to CEO of SCOR Global Life Reinsurance Ireland (SGLRI). Meanwhile, Redmond Murphy will take uo the role of head of business performance, responsible for all finance, actuarial, pricing and risk activity across SCOR Global Life. He will be also responsible for management of SCOR’s operation in Ireland. Finally, Vincent Lepez is promoted to deputy chief knowledge officer.
