QBE Re taps ex-Guy Carp with Munich Re/Swiss Re/WTW pedigree for C-suite role
QBE Re has tapped a former Guy Carpenter executive, who has worked previously with Willis, Swiss Re and Munich Re, as chief partnership officer.
Jamie Cook (pictured) joined QBE Re two years ago as global head of client management, a newly created position at that time, where he was responsible for developing a consistent client model across the business.
Cook has over 30 years’ experience in the reinsurance sector. At Guy Carpenter, he was managing director, global account segment, and previously worked at Willis, Swiss Re and Munich Re.
In his new role, Cook will lead a team responsible for building more effective customer and broker relationships and managing strategic partnerships with retrocessionaires and other capital providers.
He reports to Chris Killourhy, managing director, QBE Re, who said: “I am delighted that Jamie has accepted this position. Jamie and his team will empower QBE Re with best-in-class customer, broker and market insights and lead initiatives to further enhance our relationships with our brokers and customers to deliver a sustainable future.”
