Oneglobal taps ex-Guy Carp/Gallagher reinsurance leader for Asia expansion

Specialist independent Lloyd’s broker and delegated authority specialist  Oneglobal Broking is looking to expand its reinsurance capabilities across Asia with a senior hire whose experience spans over 40 years from London to Bermuda to Singapore with a background at Guy Carpenter and Gallagher, among others.

Andrew Harris (pictured) joins Oneglobal as executive director - reinsurance, in Singapore. His role will focus on the reinsurance services for the group’s Singapore operation and will report to CEO Sirikit Oh.

Harris’ role will focus on providing innovative capital and placement solutions to cedant nat cat risk exposures impacted by climate change across Asian markets with a focus on parametric, whilst also supporting the Oneglobal network of offices.

Harris’ international reinsurance experience spans over 40 years from London to Bermuda to Singapore. Based in Asia for three decades, he has held roles in senior management and business production for multinational brokers. Some of his previous roles include director reinsurance at Gallagher Singapore, director at Huntington Partners, and CEO of treaty for Southeast Asia at Guy Carpenter for more than seven years.
