Nexus swoops on Coface to grow in Europe’s largest trade credit markets
Specialty managing general agent (MGA) Nexus Underwriting has hired a former Coface executive to grow its capabilities in one of the largest trade credit insurance markets in Europe.
The company has appointed Farah Rostamzad (Pictured) as head of trade credit in France. She will be based in Paris.
Rostamzad joins Nexus following more than five years at credit insurer Coface, most recently as business leader for Coface Premium Services. Originally trained in insurance law, she also worked at HSBC Insurance as wealth expert (IFA Services).
Frank Masteling, managing director trade credit at Nexus, said: “We are delighted to welcome Farah to Nexus Trade Credit and she brings a wealth of highly relevant experience to our business. She will lead our team in France and work closely with local brokers to market Nexus’ differentiated trade credit solutions, ensuring our product offering is fully adapted to our clients’ needs and taking a lead role in developing the Nexus Trade Credit brand in France. Farah is an excellent addition to our growing Trade Credit team.”
Rostamzad added: “France is one of the largest trade credit insurance markets in Europe and I am very much looking forward to bringing my sector expertise to help develop Nexus’ trade credit offering for the benefit of our clients.
“Differentiation and relevance are critical in this market – particularly given the current macroeconomic challenges which make the need for quality credit insurance even more important for businesses – and the progressive and forward-thinking team at Nexus offer a range of innovative solutions to clients to meet their risk management needs. I am delighted to be joining the business at such an exciting time in its development.”
