London insurtech Send plots North American foray for MGA-carrier platform
London-based insurtech Send, tying up MGAs and re/insurers on a streamlined platform, will take its latest round of fresh financing and make a foray into the North American market
Send Technology Solutions, following on its $10 million Series A funding round in November 2022, has appointed its first dedicated North American hire. New York-based Charlie Riley joins as streamlined part of a planned North American expansion to support property and casualty underwriters.
Riley becomes VP of Marketing, North America with focus on bringing the platform to insurance carriers, MGAs and specialty insurers across US, Canada and Bermuda.
Riley is a start-up marketing mover, with a LinkedIn profile showing a long string of short-term posts. Send highlights stints at broker Lawley Insurance and cybersecurity insurance business Havoc Shield.
Send co-founder and CEO Andy Moss said: “We are committed to bringing our award-winning Underwriting Workbench to the North American market as we’ve seen how much value it can bring to carriers and specialty insurers. Charlie knows the key challenges underwriters face on a day-to-day basis and has a skill for helping them to realise the benefits of investing in the tools they need to write better, more profitable business.”
