Landmark enters D&O line with Lloyd's China Re hire

UK-based specialist managing general agent (MGA) Landmark Underwriting has entered the directors and officers (D&O) insurance line with the hiring of experienced Lloyd's of London executive Andrew Owen.

Owen, who previously worked with China Re Syndicate, will join Landmark as head of UK & Europe D&O.

He will be tasked to manage Landmark’s D&O offering in his own territories and also assist in growing a controlled entrance into the Australian D&O market.

Ross Lazaroo-Hood, group CEO of Landmark, said: “We planned to have 2021 as our growth year and having Andrew join us at this opportune moment is exciting for us at Landmark and also for his brokers to work together with us for the benefits to our future clients.

“Andrew’s expertise and market knowledge from being at W.R. Berkley Europe, WRB Syndicate and China Re Syndicate will provide comfort to an established marketplace for Landmark to grow it’s D&O platform.”

Owen commented: “I am happy to have joined Landmark and be part of their growth strategy for 2021 and beyond. After 20 years experience in Lloyd’s of London I am delighted that my move into the MGA world is with the team at Landmark.”
