Insurtech MGA Coalition builds out UK cyber with move into E&S market
Cyber managing general agent (MGA) Coalition will offer an additional layer of cyber protection for UK clients via a move to enter that market’s excess cyber insurance space.
Coalition will extend its reach to provide full-follow form coverage and protection of up to £10m above a primary layer of insurance from another insurer for both cyber and technology professional indemnity (PI) lines.
Coalition’s policies are supported by Allianz and Lloyd’s of London. Coalition is backed by leading global insurers including Allianz, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, Arch Insurance, Lloyd’s, Ascot and Vantage, and has recently launched a Bermuda-based reinsurer Ferian Re.
A Coalition excess policy will also bring clients access to Coalition’s proprietary attack surface monitoring service Coalition Control as well as consulting from the in-house incident response cyber support team.
Coalition’s U.K. Head of Insurance Tom Draper (pictured): “Our new excess product is designed to help U.K. brokers struggling to find enough cyber and tech PI protection for their clients. By bringing in Coalition to provide excess cover, brokers give their clients greater reassurance with our state-of-the-art prevention technology and early threat warnings from our 24/7 internet scanning operation.”
