Brown is deputy chair of the board of the Bermuda Stock Exchange having served for 20 years as chair, and chair of Argus Group Holdings and Bermuda Commercial Bank.
“I feel very privileged to take on this role, having been with Hamilton since inception nearly ten years ago,” said Brown. “I look forward to continuing to guide the Hamilton executive team alongside Bill and the other esteemed Directors.”
Freda added: “I have every confidence in David as Board Chair. As a highly respected and thoughtful insurance industry leader, he is the ideal person to move into this position. I remain committed to the long-term success of Hamilton and look forward to continuing my involvement as a member of its Board.”
Pina Albo, Hamilton CEO, said: “We are delighted to have David assume the role of Chair and pleased Bill will remain on the Board as we continue to execute our strategy of building a global, diversified specialty insurance and reinsurance company.”
