Former Swiss Re, Marsh, AXA senior exec appointed to lead Convex Europe
Specialty re/insurer Convex Europe (CES) has appointed a former AXA XL, Marsh and Swiss Re executive to replace its current managing director.
Julie Dubuisson (pictured) has been named new dirigeant agréé (managing director), replacing Richard Williams who will be returning to the UK to take a new role at Convex in London.
Dubuisson has more than 18 years’ experience in specialty re/insurance including senior roles at Axa XL, AXA ASR, Marsh and Swiss Re in North America, Europe, and Africa before joining Convex as underwriting manager in August 2021 to help launch Convex’s European operations based in Luxembourg.
Theo Butt, CEO Convex Insurance UK, said: “We’re delighted that Julie has been appointed as the new dirigeant agréé at Convex Europe. This is a well-deserved promotion, and I wish her much success in the role. I’d also like to say a huge thank you to Richard for leading the Convex Europe team from its inception.”
