Everest eyes expansion into new markets; nabs key Chubb executive
Everest Insurance, the insurance division of Everest Re Group, has hired a seasoned executive with thirty years of experience, notably at Chubb, to fuel its international expansion strategy with a focus on new markets.
Glen Browne (pictured) has joined the company as head of international corporate strategy. He will report to Everest Insurance International co-leads Adam Clifford and Jason Keen.
In his new role, Browne will work closely with the company’s global leadership team to continue its expansion into new markets, build new distribution channels, and further broaden Everest’s suite of innovative product offerings designed to meet local market needs.
Browne has three decades of international insurance experience. He spent the past decade in executive positions within Chubb’s Asia Pacific operations, including deputy regional president and consumer lines division president. Prior to that, he was country president for ACE Insurance Thailand, CEO of European operations for CIGNA, and has also held Asia Pacific regional leadership roles at AIG and Prudential.
“Glen is an excellent addition to our senior team. He is a highly accomplished executive with deep international experience and industry relationships spanning multiple continents,” said Adam Clifford, co-lead of Everest Insurance International. “Glen’s appointment is integral to our international expansion strategy as we continue filling the growing need for bespoke risk products and solutions across key sectors and regions worldwide.”
Jason Keen, co-lead of Everest Insurance International, added: “Glen’s deep expertise in leading high-performing international teams and driving expansion across business lines and global markets will be extremely valuable as we continue to scale our international insurance business. Glen joins us at an important time in our journey, and under his leadership, we are well-positioned to continue bringing our client-first model to key markets around the world.”
