Chaucer appoints chief underwriting officer from Swiss Re
Chaucer, the international specialty re/insurance group, has appointed Nicola Stacey as chief underwriting officer. She will be responsible for the development and execution of Chaucer’s underwriting strategy, with a focus on profitable portfolio growth. John Fowle, the current joint CEO and CUO will consolidate his duties to CEO. Her appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
Stacey has an impressive industry track-record with over 30 years of re/insurance experience, including senior underwriting leadership roles at Swiss Re and GE Insurance Solutions. She joins Chaucer from Swiss Re Europe where she most recently served as managing director with responsibility for risk management globally for P&C Reinsurance.
