BMS hires Willis North American property head

Specialist re/insurance broker BMS Group has boosted the experience in its North American property team by hiring a senior executive from Willis Towers Watson.

Based in London, Suzi Morgan will join BMS North America Direct & Facultative as director effective early 2021, to assist Mark Lawson in leading the team.

BMS said the appointment marks a major step in its global expansion in the property space.

Morgan was most recently head of the North American property team at Willis Towers Watson, where she spent more than seven years. Prior to that, Morgan served as principal at Integro Insurance Brokers, focusing on property placements and new business development. In the past, Morgan has also held senior roles at Guy Carpenter, JLT and Gallagher between 1995 and 2007.

Ian Gormley, managing director at BMS Global Risks, said: “Our North America property team already had a fantastic track record and reputation. Suzi’s arrival cements their position as the unquestionable stand-out team in the London market.”

Lawson commented: “Suzi’s experience and reputation makes her an excellent addition to the expanding team and will create unrivalled bench strength for BMS clients. We look forward to working with her to continue the incredible momentum in the business and to help clients navigate the current market conditions.”
