Aon reveals new CEO of reinsurance strategy & technology group
Global re/insurance broker Aon has appointed a chief executive officer (CEO) of its strategy and technology group within Reinsurance Solutions, in a move to build more resilient businesses for clients in a volatile market.
Sherif Zakhary will lead over 500 employees around the world to accelerate the development of Aon’s insurance consulting capabilities and help clients make better business decisions that navigate volatility, optimize capital, and drive performance and growth. He will be based in New York and report to Andy Marcell, CEO of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions.
Zakhary was previously co-head of Aon’s strategy consulting team for insurers and has held senior positions at Guy Carpenter, Zurich and MetLife.
Launched in early 2022, Aon’s strategy and technology group takes a holistic view of insurers’ businesses, combining consulting and software to provide data-driven, actionable insights. To define and achieve strategic goals, the team informs and advises re/insurers and capital providers on a range of opportunities from profitable growth and operational efficiency to building customer relevance and better deploying capital.
