AM Best seeks growth in Continental Europe with ex-Generali hire

Ratings agency AM Best has appointed Riccardo Ciccozzi as director of market development, Europe, as part of its strategic growth initiative in Continental Europe.

Ciccozzi will be responsible for developing AM Best’s profile in the major European markets, specifically in Southern Europe including the origination of new rating assignments and managing existing client relationships.

He will report to Nick Charteris-Black, managing director, market development – EMEA.

Ciccozzi has more than 25 years of experience in the re/insurance industry, including spells with Generali and EQECAT, the catastrophe modelling agency.
