AM Best announces leadership changes in LatAm following resignation
Ratings agency AM Best has announced that Manuel Agustin Calderón de las Heras has resigned from his position as managing director to "pursue other opportunities".
Andrea Keenan, senior managing director and head of industry relations, who has served AM Best in numerous leadership roles throughout the Americas, will oversee the Mexico operations during the transition period.
"AM Best is committed to the Mexico market. We have a strong analytical team led by Alfonso Novelo, senior director of analysis, who will continue to serve our clients in the region," stated Matt Mosher, executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Mosher also announced that Novelo will be appointed to the board of directors of AM Best América Latina later this year.
Incorporated in 2013, AM Best América Latina offers financial strength ratings for AM Best-rated entities in most Spanish-speaking markets.
Keenan said: "I look forward to continue to strengthen our client relationships in Mexico and Latin America. We will be expanding our efforts further throughout the Latin American region from our robust base here in Mexico City."
