Allianz UK appoints new chief information security officer
Allianz UK has appointed Jamie Whitcombe-Jones to the role of chief information security officer.
Whitcombe-Jones has served as Allianz Insurance’s cyber security programme manager for the last five months. Prior to joining Allianz, he was programme director at Bupa, where he's said to have led the global transformation of information and cyber security. Previously, he was the head of information security and transformation at Centrica.
In his new role, Whitcombe-Jones will have company-wide responsibility for information security across Allianz Insurance and LV=GI. He will report to chief operating officer Stephanie Smith
Smith said: “With LV=GI now part of our Allianz family we recognise the increasing size and complexity of our cyber agenda and this new role reflects our larger customer and employee base. Jamie has a wealth of experience in leading and delivering for regulated businesses and following his superb job shaping our cyber programme over the last few months, I have no doubt he’ll excel in this role.”
