Allianz ART picks AXIS Re's Kiernan to lead North America reinsurance

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), the corporate insurance arm of Allianz Group, has appointed Peter Kiernan joins as head of North American reinsurance in its Allianz Risk Transfer (ART) division.

Based in Bermuda and reporting to ART chief underwriting officer Richard Boyd, Kiernan will be responsible for supporting the business sourcing activities backed by PIMCO ILS and Allianz Re capacity.

Kiernan was most recently the chief underwriting officer (CUO) and president of AXIS Re Bermuda. Previously, he was head of US property for PXRE Reinsurance.
