AIG executive to launch new specialty group at Great American

Great American Insurance Group has hired a senior executive from AIG to launch a new specialty construction operation.

Thomas Boudreau (pictured) of AIG has joined Great American as divisional senior vice president. In this role, Boudreau will launch a new specialty construction operation. He will coordinate product management and development of related products, which are anticipated to be available in late second quarter 2023.

The newly formed group will provide loss-sensitive practice policies and wrap-up solutions to the construction industry, focusing on workers’ compensation and general liability insurance for general contractors, large trade contractors and owners.

Boudreau has more than 26 years of leadership, underwriting and industry experience, including managing multiple construction-related insurance operations and product lines. Most recently, he was a product manager at AIG. He also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
