Berkshire's BHSI bolsters financial lines leadership with AIG, Great American hires
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has bolstered its executive and professional lines leadership with the hiring of Anthony Tatulli and Rachel Simon.
Tatulli has been appointed head of executive & professional lines for North America.
He joins from AIG, where he was most recently head of North America financial lines. Tatulli has over 30 years of industry experience spanning both underwriting and claims.
Simon joins as senior vice president, head of US commercial private and nonprofit, professional lines and transactional liability claims.
She comes to BHSI with more than 20 years of executive & professional lines experience. She was most recently at Great American Insurance Group, where she underwrote reps and warranties coverage. Prior to that, Simon held leadership and technical roles with multi-national insurance carriers, as well as a law partner in private practice.
Both executives will be based in BHSI’s New York office.
Peter Eastwood, president and CEO of BHSI, said: “Anthony embodies the excellent capabilities and strong character BHSI seeks in our team members around the globe. He brings deep expertise to our Executive & Professional Lines leadership team, and we are excited to have him at the helm as we continue to grow our financial lines business, providing customers and brokers worldwide with reliable capacity, backed by stellar financial strength.”
David Crowe, head of global claims at BHSI, added: “Now more than ever, our Executive & Professional Lines customers are looking for exceptional strength in a carrier’s underwriting and claims capabilities and Rachel further elevates BHSI’s ability to deliver this for our customers.”
