QBE North America and AmWINS partner over new E&S programme
Re/insurer QBE North America, part of QBE Insurance Group, has formed a strategic programme alliance with AmWINS Special Risk Underwriters (SRU) to launch a national excess property programme.
The programme, offered on a non-admitted basis, will principally target risks comprised of a mix of soft occupancy (habitational, hospitality, retail, etc.) and manufacturing areas, the company said.
"QBE is excited to partner with such an experienced property MGA," said Glenn Skrynecki, senior vice president, P&C programmes for QBE. This business will be a valuable addition to our current book and we look forward to fostering this relationship for many years to come."
Katie Davies, president of AmWINS Special Risk Underwriting, added: "We were looking to partner with a carrier that will help us achieve our long term goals in this space. QBE brings the specialized expertise to help us meet the needs of our customers."
AmWINS SRU was formed in 2008 as an exclusive MGA for AmWINS property brokers. It focuses on the underserved middle market segment of the E&S property business.
