Arch powers up UK growth strategy with new COO from Aon
Arch Insurance International, part of Arch Capital Group, has tapped a key executive from Aon leadership to bolster its UK growth strategy.
Ketan Motwani has been appointed new UK chief operating officer (COO). Based in London, he will report to Hugh Sturgess, chief executive officer for Arch Insurance International.
In his new role, Motwani will work closely with the wider senior leadership team at Arch to support the company’s overall growth strategy. He will be responsible for overseeing key UK functions, including underwriting operations, process and operational strategies, and portfolio management.
Motwani has over 20 years of experience in insurance operations and transformation leadership. He joins Arch from Aon UK where he was most recently COO - commercial risk (global, wholesale & specialty broking) with responsibilities spanning transformation, service delivery, operations, and digital platforms. Prior to joining Aon, he held senior roles at Deloitte focused on insurance strategy, operations, and technology.
Sturgess said: “Ketan brings an exceptional breadth of expertise to the role and considerable experience in all aspects of operational and performance enhancement. As Arch looks to build on the substantial market success we have achieved in recent years, he will have a central role in ensuring we maintain a fully optimised operating model across every aspect of our organisation.”
