Arch reveals new third party claims leader
Arch Insurance International, part of Arch Capital Group, has appointed a new head of third party claims overseeing casualty, cyber, financial lines, healthcare, intangible assets and professional liability. The executive chairs the IUA’s professional lines claims committee.
Laura Brahams, who joined Arch in 2015 and was most recently financial lines claims manager, has been appointed to lead the company's third party claims division.
Based in London, she will report to Barbara Rizzi, who was promoted to chief claims officer at the beginning of May.
Brahams has over 18 years of insurance experience. Before joining Arch, she worked at Kennedys Law as a senior solicitor and at Plexus Law as an associate.
Brahams serves as the current chair of the International Underwriting Association’s professional lines claims committee. She is also the co-chair of the Arch Insurance International culture committee.
Rizzi said: “Laura’s promotion is very much a natural progression. She has continued to demonstrate her strong technical and leadership skills as well as her dedication to service excellence since joining Arch.
“In her new role, she will lead a high-performing team of claims professionals which I’m sure will continue to thrive under her leadership as we remain committed to delivering a superior customer-focused experience for every claim that we manage.”
