US insurance industry ends 2023 on hiring spree, adds 4500 jobs

The broad US insurance industry may have ended the year with a hiring spree, adding 4500 jobs in December to take the 2023 annual employment gain to 1.4%, a net gain of 39,500 jobs for the year, a monthly dataset from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) indicated.
