Reputation and client service pave the way
Reputation, efficiency and excellent client services are some of the qualities respondents say they seek in business partners across all areas of the reinsurance industry, according to a recent snapshot of answers received by researchers working on Intelligent Insurer’s annual Global Awards Survey.
The survey is a comprehensive market research project covering the reinsurance sector being conducted by the research team at Intelligent Insurer. The results of the survey will be revealed at a ceremony at the Monte Carlo Rendez-vous on Sunday September 8.
Broker, JLT was commended for its responsiveness towards clients, while Guy Carpenter received votes based on its “unrivalled understanding of clients’ needs”.
Reinsurers were also commended in this area with Transatlantic Re receiving votes for its quality of client service. One participant said: “Their industry knowledge is strong and they have a willingness to share with clients.” In the same bracket, Catlin Syndicate UK was also highly regarded for its “flexibility to work with clients on solutions to unique needs as they arise”.
Another trend that has been noted is reputation. In what has been a challenging environment, reputation is playing a key role for rating agencies. One respondent nominated both S&P and AM Best based on reputation. He said they were “trusted in the market”.
