Buyers are increasingly replacing mid-tier reinsurers

Large reinsurance buyers are increasingly replacing mid-tier reinsurers on their panels with collateralised coverage or larger ILS deals while also retaining more risk – but they are also forming closer and deeper relationships with their bigger reinsurance partners.
