Aon Benfield voted Reinsurance Broker of the Year by the readers of Intelligent Insurer

During the event, which was held in Monte Carlo on September 8, 2013, Aon Benfield was also awarded first place for Innovation & New Solutions and Expertise & Market Knowledge. Further accolades included second place for Client Responsiveness. All titles were awarded based on reinsurance brokerage revenues of more than $1bn.

Intelligent Insurer’s in-house research team spent six months interviewing industry executives and gathering data from thousands of online responses. In total 1,103 full interviews or surveys were completed. The research team collected qualitative and quantitative data to establish which companies are regarded highly and what qualities have been critical to their long-term success.

“Aon gets my vote for the level of service they provide to their clients, the amount of analysis that goes into submissions and the way they present the information to reinsurers,” said one survey respondent.

Another added: “They build strong relationships, have the highest amount of business and are the most knowledgeable within the market.”

Other survey participants noted that Aon Benfield provide all-round support and creativity in terms of reinsurance structure and reinsurance requirements. Aon Benfield’s vast global footprint and superior market knowledge were also cited as reasons for the company’s nominations throughout the survey.
