Sun Life has appointed Randy Lianggara as president, Emerging Markets, Asia, effective November 1.
In this newly created role, Lianggara will help to drive growth across Sun Life’s businesses in the fast-growing emerging markets of Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia as well as oversee Sun Life’s joint venture with China Everbright Group in mainland China.
Lianggara will join Sun Life’s Asia executive team and report to Manjit Singh, president of Sun Life Asia.
Lianggara joins Sun Life from Aviva where he most recently held roles as regional CEO, Asia, and regional CEO, China, Indonesia and Vietnam. Prior to that he spent a decade as CEO of AXA Indonesia.
