SCOR lifts chief retrocession officer to head up risk partnerships
Global reinsurer SCOR has pushed a retrocession, outwards reinsurance and third-party capital chief up the ladder to lead its risk partnerships operations.
Benoît Liot (pictured) has been promoted to head of risk partnerships. In his new role, he will lead the existing property and casualty (P&C) and life and health (L&H) retrocession teams.
Liot joined SCOR eight years ago as retrocession senior account manager before becoming chief retrocession officer in 2020. Prior to joining the company, he was a portfolio manager and analyst at AXA Investment Managers. Liot also has experience at Partner Re, most recently as a CAT portfolio manager. He began his career as a CAT modeller at Paris Re.
The company said his appointment is an “important step toward delivering on SCOR's Forward 2026 strategic plan as the existing P&C and L&H retrocession teams are centralised under his leadership to ensure the successful development of Risk Partnerships.”
