QBE prepares Nordic expansion with new hire

QBE Business Insurance has appointed Maths Stanser as market manager for the Nordics to drive growth in the region.

Stanser will be responsible for reshaping QBE’s property, casualty and specialty lines offering in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway.

Reporting to Chris Wallace, executive director of European markets, Stanser will be based in Stockholm.

Stanser was chief commercial officer for Aon Sweden prior to taking on the role as head of major accounts and ultimately Nordic head of financial institutions.

Wallace commented: “Maths is an established and well respected senior figurehead in the local Nordic market and will provide strong visibility and engagement with our brokers and customers.”

QBE has offices in Copenhagen and Stockholm where it employees 20 people.
