Kessler named member of Monetary Authority of Singapore

Denis Kessler, chairman and chief executive officer of SCOR, has been appointed as a member of the International Advisory Panel (IAP) of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for a period of two years.

The MAS is Singapore's central bank. It manages Singapore's exchange rate, foreign reserves and liquidity in the banking sector, promoting sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through appropriate monetary policy formulation and close macroeconomic surveillance of emerging trends and potential vulnerabilities.

The MAS is also an integrated supervisor, overseeing all financial institutions in Singapore -- banks, insurers, capital market intermediaries, financial advisors, and the stock exchange.

Formed in November 1998, the MAS' International Advisory Panel (IAP) comprises some of the world's top financial experts and advises on Singapore's financial sector reforms and strategies.
