JLT Re bolsters North American leadership in expansion move
JLT Re North America, a subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group, has made three executive appointments to strengthen its business across the region.
George Daddario has been appointed to the newly-created role of executive chairman of JLT Re (North America), where he will continue to lead the business development units in the US and Canada. Daddario has been with JLT Re since 2014 as part of the acquisition of the reinsurance business of Towers Watson.
Peter Chandler has been appointed deputy CEO of JLT Re (North America), responsible for driving new business opportunities and leading the national global practice area. Chandler joined JLT Re in 2016 from Marsh where he was leader for the Western Region. Prior to that, he was chief operating officer for Guy Carpenter in North America and has also held other key roles at Guy Carpenter and Benfield.
Lastly, Chip Ott has been appointed to the JLT Re North American executive committee. Ott joined JLT Re in 2016 as a part of the acquisition of StoneHill Reinsurance Partners. He previously served as president and chief executive officer of Texas Medical Liability Trust (TMLT), the largest provider of medical liability insurance in the state of Texas.
