Guy Carpenter names new head of credit, bond and political risk practice
Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter & Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, has promoted Gregory King-Underwood to head of the credit, bond and political risk practice of Guy Carpenter International.
John Orchard, formerly practice leader, will be leaving Guy Carpenter after 11 years with the firm.
King-Underwood will be supported in the role by Alistair McVeigh who has been appointed as deputy head of the division. McVeigh was previously managing director, UK practice leader, political risks & structured credit at Marsh.
King-Underwood will report to James Nash, president of Guy Carpenter International.
Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, King-Underwood was a barrister at Carmelite Chambers specializing in criminal and regulatory law.
Nash said: “Gregory’s background makes him uniquely qualified to build on our strengths in developing innovative solutions for our clients in the Credit, Bond and Political Risk segment. Our team of international experts are committed to developing and delivering solutions that address the unique challenges – and opportunities for growth – for this class.”
