AXA Partners and Shell Energy Retail team up on home care deal
AXA Partners, insurer AXA’s global entity dedicated to creating solutions that combine insurance, assistance and other value-added services, has entered into a new contract with Shell Energy Retail which will see the energy provider deliver a series of boiler care and home emergency services to British homeowners.
The new deal, delivered using AXA Partners’ network of trusted local tradespeople and contractors, will provide Shell Energy Retail customers with home and boiler cover over the winter months.
Colin Crooks, CEO of Shell Energy Retail, said: “This launch builds our credentials as a trusted partner in the home. We began earlier this year by switching all customers to 100 percent renewable electricity as standard and look forward to rolling out further services and products – beyond core energy and broadband - that will help more people save energy and money at home.
“By partnering with AXA, we’re able to offer boiler care and home emergency cover that is hassle-free, easy to understand and competitively priced. Our policies will give homeowners peace of mind, financial certainty and a high standard of service whenever they need it.”
Policy holders are able to pay either in full or spread out payments with a monthly direct debit.
Charles Dennison, sales director at AXA Partners, said: “Home emergency cover is a core part of our business, and to be entering into a partnership with Shell Energy Retail as a key player in the energy space, is an exciting move for us.
“We are expanding further into the utilities market, and with Shell Energy Retail also growing beyond its core energy offering, it was the right time for both parties to take this next step. What’s more, we have the shared values of continual innovation and commitment to meeting customer demand.”
