Aon Benfield appoints US casualty head

Reinsurance broker Aon Benfield has appointed of Nick Ambriano as head of its US casualty facultative team.

Ambriano began his career at Greater New York Mutual Insurance Company in 1996. He then joined Gerling America Insurance Company in 1997, before joining Aon in 1999 where he was appointed as a senior casualty production broker.

In 2008, Ambriano was promoted to Aon managing director/New York casualty branch manager, and from 2010 he has been a member of the US facultative leadership team.

Kelly Smith, president of Aon Benfield’s US business, said: “Nick has extensive industry experience and brings tremendous focus and expertise to his new role, which will ensure that we continue to deliver the best service in the marketplace to our clients.
