Munich Re Specialty names new leader to drive US programmes
Munich Re Specialty North America, a subsidiary of global reinsurance group Munich Re, has appointed a new head of US programmes.
Claudia Carnevale will lead the US programmes business which encompasses more than 28 active programmes with 11 partners.
Based in New York, she will report to Kevin Johnson, the president of North America programmes.
Carnevale joins from Homesite Underwriting Managers where she most recently served as chief risk officer overseeing underwriting, product/compliance and operational related services. Prior to that, she was vice president of programmes at Allied World where grew to head of programmes.
Carnevale, who began her career in reinsurance underwriting at the Generali US branch in 1995, has also served as vice president of QBE the America’s and Partner Reinsurance.
