Munich Re expands parametric risk transfer capabilities with key hire

Global reinsurance group Munich Re has tapped an experienced parametric talent with TigerRisk and Sompo pedigree as its new head of parametric nat cat solutions.

The executive will head up Munich Re's parametric natural catastrophe division and help expand its risk transfer capabilities.

Jack Faure (pictured) will be based in New York.

Faure joins Munich Re Parameter Climate where he was vice president and portfolio manager. Prior to that, he was a reinsurance broker with TigerRisk Partners (now Howden).

Faure started his career at Sompo International as a reinsurance broker before being appointed as assistant vice president and portfolio manager, Sompo Global Weather.
