Mosaic targets major US expansion with strategic move
Bermuda-based specialty insurer Mosaic aims to accelerate its US expansion through a strategic move it believes will increase opportunities, expand its specialty product offerings, and enhance market access for syndicated capital partners, brokers, and clients.
Mosaic is moving its New York City office to an iconic address opposite Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal to accommodate the company’s growing business and future ambitions in the US market.
The move aims to support the company’s expanding team across various business lines, including environmental liability, political violence, political risk, cyber, and transactional liability.
Mosaic first opened for business in the US in 2021 and has moved into offices in One Grand Central Place across from Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan.
Mark Wheeler, co-founder and co-chief executive officer (CEO), said: “Our new home in this landmark building signals a clear intent and commitment to significantly accelerate growth in the US market.
“It is an exciting step that will manifest in greater opportunities for our people, a broader specialty product offering, and enhanced market access for our syndicated capital partners, brokers, and clients.”
Mitch Blaser, co-founder and co-CEO, said: “We’re proud to grow Mosaic’s physical presence in New York, and excited to join the Grand Central District’s corporate community.
“From the company’s launch in 2021, our strategic plan set its sights on global syndication of specialty underwriting expertise and continued growth and expansion in the US. Our team is focused on innovation and the power of partnerships, and this move underscores our dedication to this vital market.”
