Marsh-Guy Carp targets C-suite and capital with new launch under ex-Goldman Sachs vet
Guy Carpenter, global risk and reinsurance specialist and a business of Marsh McLennan, has established a new capital & advisory group to expand its c-suite offerings globally and bring more capital to re/insurance risks.
The capital & advisory group has been established as part of its global capital solutions unit and will be led by Alexander Schnieders as global head of capital & advisory. He will report to Laurent Rousseau, chief executive officer of Europe, IMEA and global capital solutions.
The group will raise capital for clients, advise on capital and M&A transactions, create new market capacity, and support new company formation, Guy Carpenter said.
Schnieders joins Guy Carpenter from Teneo Holdings, where he was the head of the financial institutions group (FIG) and co-head of M&A. In his role, he managed Teneo’s US insurance practice including strategy, business planning, deal sourcing and executing capital raising and M&A transactions. Prior to Teneo, Schnieders worked for Goldman Sachs for over a decade, and Perella Weinberg Partners in similar roles.
