Japan earthquake insured losses may hit $6bn, warns Moody’s RMS

The total insured losses from the magnitude 7.5 earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula in Japan on January 1 are likely to reach up to $6 billion, global catastrophe risk modeller Moody’s RMS has suggested.
