XL Catlin boosts France underwriting unit with trio of hires

Re/insurer XL Catlin has appointed three executives, Ludovic Ruiller, Ophélie Carême and Vincent Fumey, into its underwriting team in France.

Ruiller will join the company as underwriting manager, environmental - France, with the responsibility for developing XL Catlin’s environmental insurance capabilities in the country. He has previously worked for Assurpol as an underwriter, and AIG Europe as underwriting manager, Environmental.

Carême has been appointed as underwriter in XL Catlin's property division in the country. She has previously worked at Generali as marine claims handler, at broking firm Théorème, and in the property underwriting division of Chubb.

Fumey has been brought in as a junior underwriter, casualty. He joins from QBE, where he served in a similar role in its casualty division.
