WTW lures 10-year vet back into ICT fold from major insurance carrier
Global broker WTW has brought back a nearly 10-year company veteran from a major Canadian insurance carrier to lead its pricing, analytics, underwriting, product, and distribution, helping unlock unique opportunities across North America.
Naheed Jaffer (Pictured) is joining WTW back from Aviva. He has been appointed director and lead for pricing, product, claims and underwriting (PPCU) propositions in Canada, within the company’s Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business.
Jaffer rejoins WTW from Aviva Canada, where he served as senior actuarial manager for monitoring and insights, and within the specialty personal insurance business. Prior to that, Jaffer was a member of the WTW ICT team for more than nine years, leading rate development, portfolio management, and underwriting automation, in addition to pricing and governance effectiveness reviews, while specialising in advanced analytics techniques including predictive analytics, price elasticity and optimisation.
Based in Toronto and reporting to Nicolas Beaudoin, P&C division leader, Americas, and head of P&C Canada, ICT, Jaffer brings extensive experience in pricing, analytics, underwriting, product, and distribution to his new role at WTW.
In his new role, he will focus on supporting clients to redesign their businesses with structures aimed at delivering better results for their clients, aligned with guiding them in developing proprietary solutions around intellectual capital.
Beaudoin commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Naheed back to WTW. Having served at WTW for nearly 10 years already, followed by three years at a major Canadian insurance carrier, Naheed brings a wealth of expertise and experience that will unlock unique opportunities for clients, and aid in delivering enhanced value to our customers across North America.”
