WTW launches ESG initiative to aid clients in navigating climate risks
Global insurance broker WTW has launched a new ESG initiative focused on climate risk assessment in order to help its clients better navigate the challenges of climate uncertainty.
The company has formed Climate Risk Solutions for Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB) North America, a new solution integrating WTW's ESG resources to help clients manage their climate-related risks.
WTW has appointed Susan Doering to lead the initiative leveraging its capabilities across industry divisions. With a background in complex risk and environmental consulting, Doering brings science and technical proficiency to assist clients with their unique ESG exposures.
WTW's Climate Risk Solutions enhances the firm's predictive climate analytics, providing clients with the tools to assess and quantify their climate-related risks. The solution also aids in developing and implementing strategies to manage, mitigate and transfer these risks. The initiative is bolstered by the scientific and mathematical expertise of WTW's Risk and Analytics team and the Climate Resilience Hub (CRH), enabling clients to navigate climate uncertainty with a specialised approach to coverage options, technical broking, and comprehensive data analysis.
Michael Chang, head of CRB, North America, WTW, said: “Our integrated solution brings together all of our climate resources across the organisation using an aligned, efficient and targeted approach to address climate-related risks facing our clients. Our team has the technical understanding and experience to deploy our industry-leading analytical tools to deliver meaningful climate risk solutions. We are delighted to bring this new ESG offering to clients.”
