WR Berkley poaches marine leader from Argo

Property/casualty insurer  WR Berkley Corporation has hired a senior marine practice leader from  Argo Insurance Group.

David Higley has been appointed president of Berkley Fire & Marine.

Higley has more than 30 years of commercial property and casualty insurance experience, including more than 10 years in executive leadership roles in the marine market. He most recently served as senior vice president and head of the marine practice for Argo Insurance Group. Previously, Higley worked at The Hartford, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, and Royal and Sun Alliance.
